About TourConnect


TourConnect's Booking Automation Tool is an email add-in that connects a supplier’s inbox to their booking system to automatically create bookings from the available data. On the surface it looks very simple; however, the power of the tool is its ability to intelligently extract key booking data from any email and pre-fill the booking form in the add-in, accurately. This capability drastically reduces the time it takes to create, cancel, update, and search bookings that come into a reservation team’s inbox from resellers that do not support API connectivity. Getting Started with TourConnect


To get started with TourConnect, sign up through https://app.tourconnect.com/bookings-ai-sign-up and their team will be in touch to assist you further.


Setting up the Connection


Note you will need to set up a separate connection for each reseller whose bookings you'd like to automate with TourConnect's Booking Automation Tool. Repeat the below steps for each such reseller:
Create Reseller in Ventrata. If you haven't yet, create each Reseller whose bookings you'd like to automate using TourConnect and configure their settings (band, commission, products, etc.).
Create a Connection in Ventrata. In your Ventrata Dashboard, go to Connections > Connections, then click + New Connection and select corresponding from the list of available options. Set the connection Name, link the Reseller created in Step 1, and click Create Connection. If necessary, you may also whitelist/blacklist destinations or products you wish this connection to have access to.

Mapping Products



Share Mapping Information with TourConnect. In your Ventrata Dashboard, go to Connections > Connections, then select your TourConnect connection from the list of created connections (see section above). The connection page will display the API Key as well as the list of products you have made available to this connection (based on reseller, reseller band and connection settings) with their IDs. Contact your TourConnect account manager requesting to have your products connected to "Ventrata OCTO", providing them with your API Key as well as the List of Products with their Product and Option IDs (as shown on the page). If needed, you can download the list of products as a CSV file by clicking Export.

Frequently Asked Questions



Why can I not find the product on the dropdown when mapping?

Make sure the product is whitelisted for the Connection, Reseller and/or Reseller Band linked to it, and check if the Product is made available to Direct API channel.
