With Google Pay, customers can make bookings using credit or debit cards stored in their Google account. Customers get to experience a simpler checkout process whether they are buying from their Android devices, on the web, or in-store through Point-of-Sale terminals.
When a customer pays with Google Pay, Google Pay shows a payment sheet where they select their preferred card payment method and confirm their purchase.
Prerequisites:
You have a Google business account.
Request Production Access

If you already have been granted production access to Google Pay, you can jump to Obtain Your Google Pay Merchant ID.

Once you submit your request, changes to the integration cannot be made. Instead, submit a request for a new integration and delete the old one. Please keep your Ventrata contacts informed about any planned changes to ensure coverage during any transition.
Go to the Google Pay and Wallet Console.
Log in with your Google business account.
Enter the legal name of your business.
Enter the location of your business.
Complete your Business Profile.
Click the Google Pay API tab from the left-side navigation menu.
Click the Get Started button.
Accept the Google Pay API Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Under the 'Integrate your website' section header, click the Add website button.
In the onboarding flow, provide the top-level domain that calls the Google Pay API.

An example of a top-level domain is
www.myshop.com

Please make sure that you state your domain as it is registered. For instance, if it contains
www.
please include it in the form. If it does not contain this or other elements, DO NOT include them.Select your integration type with the Google Pay API.

Select 'Gateway' in this step.
Follow the directions in the console and take screenshots of your test Google Pay API integration within your website.

One screenshot per section will suffice.
Upload the screenshots in the respective sections in the onboarding flow of the console.
Click the Save button.
Then scroll to the top of the page and click the Submit for approval button to send this information to the Google onboarding team, and wait for their response.
Obtain Your Pay Google Merchant ID
Log into your Google Pay & Wallet Console
In the top right corner of the dashboard, you will see your the name of your business followed by an alphanumeric string. This string is your Google Merchant ID.

The Google Pay Merchant ID is a string of 16 digits or 20 alphanumeric characters.
Click on the field and copy the string, then send it to your Ventrata Payment Operations Specialist.
The Ventrata Payment Operations Specialist will set up your Google Pay mobile payment solution in Adyen. You will receive a message from Ventrata when your Google Pay payment method is ready and operational.
