Which web checkout was used for a booking?
Updated over 2 months ago

If you have multiple web checkouts, it can be easy to lose track of which checkout was used for each booking.

The introduction of Ventrata Web Checkout 2.0 adds to this complexity, which is why we provide steps to help you determine the correct checkout or connection associated with your bookings.

Bookings

To find out which checkout was used for a booking:

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.

    Bookings

  2. Press the Show Columns button and add the 'Connections' and 'Checkout' columns.

    Show Columns

  3. The 'Checkout' column displays the name of the checkout used.

  4. Check the 'Connection' column:

    • If the 'Connection' column contains a value, the booking was made on the new checkout.

    • If the 'Connection' column is empty, the booking was made on the legacy checkout.

The values in the 'Checkout' and 'Connection' columns may, but do not necessarily, be the same.

Requests

To verify the checkout used via API requests:

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.

    Bookings

  2. Select the relevant booking.

  3. Press the EDIT ORDER button.

    Edit Order

  4. Copy the order ID.

    Update Order

  5. Navigate to Activity > Requests.

    Requests

  6. Paste the order ID in the search field and press Enter.

  7. Check the 'Service' column.

    a. If there are API requests to OCTO API, the booking was made on the new checkout.

    b. If there are no API requests, the booking was made on the legacy checkout.
