Products suited for a calendar first approach can be grouped into a category. This category must then be added to the calendar first web checkout.

Using the category feature of the Ventrata dashboard is a simple way to filter and arrange products in a calendar first checkout. However, there are other methods to control which products appear in the checkout. Learn more about alternative product filters.
Add Category to Web Checkout
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Web Checkouts > Checkouts.

Select an existing checkout or create a new one.
Choose the a category from the 'All Products Category' field.

In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Categories.

Press the + NEW CATEGORY button.

Add products using one of two methods:
Blacklist Destinations - choose destinations whose products ARE NOT INCLUDED in the category
Alternatively, uncheck 'Whitelist All Destinations' and select destinations that ARE INCLUDED in the category.

For optimal performance, keep the number of products in a single category below 20. Consider also the number of options and tour times within each product and adjust the category size accordingly.

Reorder Products
On the Product list tab of the category page, choose your Calendar First destination.
Arrange your products in the preferred order within that destination.
