Creating Connection

Before you begin:

  • You must have a commercial agreement with Access Development for them to sell your products. To inquire about partnering with them, visit https://merchants.accessdevelopment.com/.

  • You must have Access Development created as a Reseller in Ventrata with their pricing (retail, wholesale/commission) configured correctly, including any special pricing you'd like to offer to their members. Note that this API connection requires that the reseller is set to "Bill to my account" settlement method.

  1. In Ventrata Dashboard, go to Connections โ†’ Connections, click + New Connection, and select Access Development from the list of partners.

  2. Select Access Development Reseller from the list of your resellers (must be created before creating connection). The connection will inherit the reseller's configuration like pricing, whitelisted destinations, products, etc.

  3. (Optional) You can also set the connection Name of your choosing, which may be helpful if you plan to have multiple Access Development connections and would like to differentiate between them more easily in the future. If needed, you can also whitelist/blacklist products or destinations on the connection level in addition to what you have configured on the reseller, which can be helpful if you have multiple Access Development connections linked to one reseller.

Mapping Products

  1. Email the OCTO API key shown on the connection you've created to your Access Development contact and ask for them to map your products using Ventrata's OCTO API. Typically it takes a few business days for the Access Development team to complete this.
    โ€‹

  2. (Optional) While Access Development team can access the full list of products you've enabled for them on the connection, you can also specify which product you would like them to map by providing the Product and Option IDs displayed on the connection page when you contact them.
