Hotelbeds, part of HBX Group, is a global B2B travel platform connecting travel sellers with curated hotel, transfer, car rental, and experience products across 190+ markets. With 300,000+ distribution partners, suppliers can expand their global reach and drive more bookings. Under its Beyond the Bed division, Hotelbeds offers 18,000+ experiences in 690 destinations — from tours and activities to theme park tickets and transport.
Hotelbeds manages its API connectivity through Redeam, a third-party channel manager that handles the integration on their behalf. Since this is not a direct integration with Ventrata and does not follow OCTO API standards, certain limitations in functionality are expected - stemming from factors outside of Ventrata’s control.
Important - Additional Transaction Fee
Unlike other reseller connections, the Hotelbeds integration via Redeam includes an additional 1% GMV (booking total) transaction fee. This fee is charged by Redeam and re-billed by Ventrata on top of your standard Ventrata fees for each booking. No separate contract with Redeam is required, as the connection is managed by Ventrata. However, by using it, you acknowledge and accept this additional fee.
Ventrata is ready to build a direct OCTO integration with Hotelbeds once they can support it, which would remove this fee and improve functionality.
Capabilities of this connection include:
Sync availability & pricing for your products on Hotelbeds with Ventrata.
Receive bookings, updates, and cancellations from Hotelbeds in Ventrata.
Issue voucher/ticket from Ventrata to Hotelbeds customers.
Please note that products with booking size fares, promotions, pickups, and other complex setups are currently not supported due to limitations of the indirect, non-OCTO connection.
Create Connection
Prerequisites:
Before setting up the connection, make sure the following requirements are in place:
Create a Reseller in Ventrata
Hotelbeds should be created as a Reseller in Ventrata with pricing (retail, wholesale/commission) defined correctly. This connection requires the reseller to use the 'Bill to my account' settlement method.
Acknowledge Additional Transaction Fee
This connection includes an extra 1% GMV transaction fee. Ensure all relevant stakeholders are aware, and inform your billing contact so they’re prepared for the additional charge on each booking.
Create Connection in Ventrata
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Connections → Connections.

Click Partner Gallery, select Hotelbeds (powered by Redeam) from the list of partners, and click +New Connection.

Choose your Hotelbeds Reseller from the list. The connection will inherit the reseller's configuration, like pricing, whitelisted destinations, products, etc.
Reseller
(Optional) Enter a custom connection 'Name' if you plan to have multiple Hotelbeds connections.
(Optional) Whitelist/blacklist products or destinations on the connection level. This may be helpful if you have multiple Hotelbeds connections linked to one reseller.
Click the Create Connection button to save your settings.
Create Octo Connection
Mapping Products
Once the connection is created, you can start mapping your Hotelbeds products & options to corresponding Ventrata items. This is a manual process involving both the Redeam and Hotelbeds teams:
Reach out via 24/7 Chat or email [email protected] and include the link to the connection you created in Ventrata. Ask for the connection to be enabled. Ventrata and Redeam will coordinate a process called Channel Binding, which typically takes 1–2 business days.
Once you receive confirmation that this is complete, contact your Hotelbeds account manager, requesting to have your products mapped with “Ventrata via Redeam”. In your request, send them:
Your Ventrata Supplier Name
List of Products with their Product and Option IDs (as shown on the connection page).
(Optional) You can download the list of products as a CSV file by clicking EXPORT.
