Hero Travel is travel agency software combining a marketplace of tours, activities, accommodation, and transport with quoting, itinerary building, payments, and instant ticketing in one back office. Built in Australia and New Zealand, it now targets US travel agents and resellers, so demand arrives through agent-assisted rather than direct consumer booking.
This connection enables you to sell your products on Hero Travel by automatically syncing your availability, pricing, and bookings in real time. The capabilities of this connection allow you to:

Creating Connection
Prerequisites:
Before connecting to the Hero Travel API, ensure you have:
A commercial agreement with Hero Travel for them to sell your products.
Hero Travel created as a Reseller in Ventrata with retail and wholesale/commission pricing correctly configured.
In the Ventrata Dashboard, go to Connections > Connections.
Press the + New Connection button.
Select 'Hero Travel' from the list of partners.
Press the + New Connection button.
Select Hero Travel
Select 'Hero Travel' from the list of your resellers (must be created before creating a connection).
The connection will inherit the reseller's configuration, like pricing, allowed destinations, products, etc.

(Optional) You can also set the connection 'Name' of your choosing, which may be helpful if you plan to have multiple Hero Travel connections and would like to differentiate between them more easily in the future.
📗 TIP
If needed, you can also allow/disallow products or destinations on the connection level in addition to what you have configured on the reseller, which can be helpful if you have multiple Hero Travel connections linked to one reseller.

Mapping Products
Email the OCTO API key shown on the connection you've created to your Hero Travel contact and ask them to map your products using Ventrata's OCTO API. Typically, it takes no longer than a few business days for the Hero Travel team to complete this.
Your Ventrata configuration is complete. You do not need to take any further steps.

Hero Travel can access all products enabled on the connection, but you can also provide the Product and Option IDs from the connection page when contacting them to specify what to map.
