Checkout Deposit on Product
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.

Select the product that requires a deposit.

Press the pen and paper
icon to edit the product.
Scroll down the product form of simply search for 'Checkout Deposit'.
Enter the deposit percentage amount.

Then, in the 'Checkout Deposit Message' field, enter a message to display alongside the deposit percentage. This message is optional.

π NOTE
A static message (1) is integrated above the space where your deposit message (2) appears. It is always shown if the checkout deposit percentage percentage is less than 100.
The static message will always be displayed in English.
Your checkout deposit message will appear in the language it is written and will not be translated into other languages.

At the bottom of the form, press the Update Product button.

The customer selects a product. When they select the number of tickets, the deposit amount and message is displayed above the date and tour time selection, on the right half of the widget.

The customer selects their preferred date and tour time as usual. At this stage, the total price displayed includes the deposit.

The customer continues with the standard checkout process.
On the Checkout page, the customer fills in their details. Each payment is shown below the order summary:
the amount to complete the booking is displayed next to 'Total Due'.
the remaining amount to be paid at the attraction is shown in the 'Pay Later' box.
π NOTE
The 'Pay Later' message on the Checkout page is localised into, unlike the deposit message on the Tickets page.

After completing the payment, the Summary page displays a breakdown of the payments:
the paid deposit
the remaining amount

Collect the remaining amount using one of these methods:
In person at the entrance
Sending an email receipt to the customer from the Ventrata dashboard prior to the travel date
Go to the Bookings > Bookings page. Select the booking(s) with a balance due. Press the Bulk Action button on the action bar. Select 'Email Receipt'.

Charge the credit or debit card used to pay for the booking
Go to the Bookings > Bookings page. Open the booking with a balance due. Press the ADD PAYMENT button. Select the Credit/Debit Card payment option. Select the card to charge the remaining amount.
