How Ticket Tiers are Displayed in the Calendar First Feature

Learn how ticket tiers are displayed in the Calendar First feature and how to ensure consistency.

Updated over a week ago

Because the booking process in the Calendar First feature is reversed, ticket tiers are displayed for all products at once before a product has been selected.

As a result, Calendar First primarily uses only one value for each tier level by default.

There are two ways to approach this:

πŸ“’ NOTE

In both cases, we recommend arranging ticket tiers in the same order. Note that in the examples below, the 'Child' tier comes first, followed by 'Adult'.

1. Unify tier names and descriptions (tooltips)

If all Calendar First products share the same ticket tiers and descriptions, the custom names and descriptions will be shown in the checkout.

πŸ“˜ EXAMPLE 1

In this example, two different products have the exact same tier name and description.

When displayed in the Calendar First checkout, this tier will appear exactly as named, and the description will be also visible.

2. Use tier level instead of ticket name

If ticket tiers have different names for each product, the Calendar First feature will use the tier level name instead of the custom ticket names you assigned.

πŸ“˜ EXAMPLE 2

The example below shows the Adult ticket tier used twice with different names but the description is the same. Therefore, the ticket tier appears as Adult but the description does appear.

Similarly, as long as the descriptions match, they are displayed in the Calendar First checkout even if the ticket tier names are different. However, if the descriptions do not match, they will not be shown at all.

πŸ“˜ EXAMPLE 3

In this version of the example, the 'Adult' ticket tier and the descriptions are different. Therefore, the ticket tier appears as Adult and the description does NOT appear.
