Create a New Ticket
In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.
βSelect an existing product.
Go to the Tickets tab.
Press the + NEW UNIT button.
βEnter unit name, for example, adult, child, etc.
βEnter description. This can be additional information, such as ID or height requirements.
βAdd your template variables.
π TIP
Unit template variables can be used to include, for example, information specific to a ticket tier, such as entrance location (Entrance A) or access time slot (Entry allowed between 10:00 AM - 05:00 PM). Use these variables in voucher templates along with other printing variables.
When applying the variable, make sure to use the correct format:
{unit.your_variable}
.π NOTE
If you support multiple languages, fill in the 'Name', 'Description' and 'Template Variables' for each language variant.
Add new or existing tags. Tags are internal references and can be used by ticket-level questions to filter when they apply.
Enter a code or unique identifier.
Select how many passengers the unit stands for.
βSelect the ticket tier from the drop-down menu.
βTick the checkbox to use custom barcodes.
π NOTEIf custom barcodes are enabled, the 'Allow Voucher' on the product detail must be disabled. For more information, check our article Barcodes.
Tick the checkbox if an ID is required.
π NOTE
This will only permit scanning the ticket on an attended scanner and the seller will check the ID.
βEnter the minimum and maximum number of units per booking.
π NOTE
If the minimum quantity is 2, each booking must be made with at least 2 tickets with this unit. Conversely, if the maximum number is 10, no booking can contain more than 10 tickets with this unit.
βEnter the minimum and maximum age the passengers must have to be able to redeem their tickets.
Assign a tax rate to the ticket if applicable.
In the 'Accompanied By' field, select a ticket tier that must be purchased together with the ticket tier currently being edited.
Set the number of tickets in the current tier that must be accompanied by at least one ticket from a specified tier. By default, this number is infinity, i.e., there is no threshold.
π EXAMPLE
Your attraction allows school visits, but each group must be accompanied by an adult, usually a teacher. You want to make sure that for every 15 children, there is at least one accompanying adult.
You create a Student ticket tier with the following settings:
Tier: Student
Accompanied by: Adult
Accompanied by Ratio: 1 to 15
With this setting,
you can book up to 15 Student tickets for 1 Adult ticket.
if you book between 16-30 Student tickets, you must add another Adult ticket.
Select the channels where this ticket is available for sale.
βPress the Create Unit button.
βPress the three lines on the left next to the unit to reorder units.
π TIPThe order on the Tickets tab determines the order of units on the sales channels.
