This article is a manual on how to configure Zenbus on Teltonika devices.
Zenbus devices are primarily used for real-time tracking and passenger information in transportation systems. They are typically installed in buses or other transit vehicles to:
Track Vehicle Locations
Improve Fleet Management
Integrate with External Systems
To enable communication between the device and Ventrata, a configuration must exist in the Ventrata dashboard.
Create Configuration
Prerequisites:
Assemble the device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Enable Server Settings
Enter the device's web interface address (for example,
192.168.1.1) into your browser's address bar.Enter the password to access the device settings.
📒 NOTE
If this is your first time setting up the device, use the default password provided by the manufacturer. You will be prompted to change it—do so, then continue with the configuration.
Navigate to Services > GPS.
Select GPS
Press the HTTPS tab.
HTTPS
Ensure the HTTPS/HTTP Server Settings are enabled.
In the 'URL' field, fill in the address.
Example:
192.168.1.198:1337
Create Zenbus Config in Ventrata
Log in to your Ventrata dashboard.
Go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.
Configs
Press the + New config button.
New Config
Select 'Zenbus'.
Zenbus
Enter the device name.
Enter the device's API key.

Reach out to your Zenbus contact to generate the API key.
Press the Create Zenbus Config button.
Create Zenbus Config
Add this config to the terminal that the Zenbus device is connected to.
