Create Adyen Config in Ventrata

📗 TIP

This config is what links the device to the Ventrata Terminal app, so orders can be processed through it.

  1. In the Ventrata Dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.

    Configs

  2. In the action bar, press the + New Config button.

    New Config

  3. Select ‘Adyen’ from the list.

    Adyen

  4. Enter a name for the config.

    Config Name

    📗 TIP

Use a clear, descriptive name by combining details like brand, device model, and device type, and the last 3 to 4 digits of the serial number, for example, 'Adyen P630 - POS - 4321'.

  5. Enter the device’s IP address in the ‘Local Address’ field.

    Local Address

    📗 TIP

Enter the IP address in the following format: http://[ip_address](for example, 192.168.1.1). This is only an example. Enter the actual IP address assigned to the network your device is connected to.

    📒 NOTE

If your Adyen device is used as a card reader connected to a POS terminal, make sure that both devices are connected to the same network.

  6. Enter the device's POI ID, or the device name.

    POI ID

    📗 TIP

The device name consists of the device model and serial number, separated by a hyphen. For example, the POI ID for a P630 with the serial number XXXXXXXX would be P630-XXXXXXXX, with the Xs replaced by the actual numbers.

You can find the device's POI ID in your Adyen Customer Area under Devices > Device list > About this device > Unique terminal ID.
