Your terminal device requires a static IP address that does not change over time, thus ensuring consistent network access.

We recommend reserving an IP address in advance. Make sure the IP address you choose is:
outside the range of your router's DHCP pool (to prevent conflicts),
not already assigned to another device.
Find IP Settings on Windows
Connect your computer to the same network as your terminal.
Press the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

You can click the Windows Start menu instead.
Type 'cmd' and press the OK button or the Enter key on your keyboard.
In the Command Prompt window, type
ipconfig/all
and press the Enter key.Note the following information:
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway (Router)
DNS Servers

You can also use a public DNS server, like Google's
8.8.8.8
or8.8.4.4
but using it may slow down some processes.

Open the Apple menu and select ‘System Preferences’ or 'System Settings'.

Click 'Network' and choose the network you are connected to.
WiFi
Press the Details button.
Then open the TCP/IP tab. You will find the following information:
Subnet Mask
Router
Open the DNS tab to view your DNS server.
Ethernet
All the information is listed directly.
