A Ventrata desktop POS system using Elo tablets typically includes:

Create Configs
The desktop POS system, using an Elo tablet requires that all included peripheral devices have a config entry set up in the Ventrata dashboard. This ensures that each device recognises its role within the system and communicates within the Ventrata infrastructure.
To get started, create a config for each peripheral device and then add them to the final terminal entry, which is hosted by the Elo tablet.
Scanner Config
The Zebra scanner connects to the Elo desktop POS system using a USB cable, routed through a USB hub and Elo Backpack.
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.
In the action bar, press the + New Config button.
Select 'Scanner' from the list.
Enter a name for the config.
Select the USB protocol.
Press the Create Config button.

Printer Config
The EPSON thermal receipt printer connects to the Elo desktop POS system using a USB cable, routed through a USB hub and Elo Backpack.
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.
In the action bar, press the + New Config button.
Select 'Printer' from the list.
Enter a name for the printer config.

It is recommended to enter a descriptive name which includes the printer brand and connection type.
Select 'ESC/POS' printer type.
Select the 'USB' connection type.
Select the '80mm (4 inch)' paper width.
Press the Create Config button.

Payment Terminal Config
The Verifone P400 and P400 Plus are payment terminals that connect to the Elo desktop POS system via the internet. It is essential to accurately configure the 'Local Address' and 'POI ID' fields to correctly identify the terminal.
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.
In the action bar, press the + New Config button.
Select โAdyenโ from the list.
Enter a name for the config.

Use a clear, descriptive name by combining details like brand, device model and device type, for example, 'Adyen P400Plus - POS'.
Enter the deviceโs IP address in the โLocal Addressโ field.

). This is only an example, please enter the actual IP address assigned to the network your device is connected to.๐ NOTE
If your Adyen device is used as a card reader connected to a POS terminal, make sure that both devices are connected to the same network.
Enter the device's POI ID, or the device name.

The device name consists of the device model and serial number, separated by a hyphen. For example, the POI ID for a

, with the Xs replaced by the actual numbers.Press the Create Config button.
Create Terminal
Elo devices can be used in a variety of settings, including desktop POS terminals, customer-facing displays or self-service kiosks. Make sure that your Elo tablet is correctly initialised and set up.
To use an Elo tablet with the Ventrata terminal app, create a terminal entry for the device in the Ventrata dashboard and add the config of each peripheral device.
Go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.
If you use Destinations, select the destination for which you want to add the new terminal.
Press the + New Terminal button.
Enter โNameโ.

Make sure to enter a descriptive name so the device is easily recognised in the list.
Enter the deviceโs serial number.

You can find the Serial Number on the back of the device (copy the number following S/N).
Check or change the destination in which the terminal device will be used.
Select the appropriate payment gateway.
Select the configs for all connected devices, such as printers, scanners or payment terminals, see Create Configs above.
Select the Terminals mode.
Press the Create Terminal button.
