The Verifone P400 and P400 Plus are PINpads that connect to POS environments via the internet. To integrate your device with your POS and connect to Ventrata, follow the steps below.

πŸ“’ NOTE

Before you begin the setup and configuration process, it is important that the device is is boarded and assigned to a store in your Adyen Customer Area.

Prerequisites:

  • The device is assembled and connected to the network via ethernet cable.

  • Make sure your device is boarded and assigned to a store in your Adyen Customer Area.

  • The Ventrata terminal app is pushed to the device.

    πŸ“’ NOTE

The default passcode is 0856. If this has been changed, please log in to your Adyen Customer Area and go to In-person payments > Terminals. Select your terminal to view the device details. Go to Passcodes, switch to 'Decrypted' mode and reveal the Admin & Settings passcode.

  4. Select Ethernet.

  5. Make sure DHCP is disabled.

    πŸ“’ NOTE

  6. Enter the following:

    • IP address

    • Subnet Mask

    • Router

    • DNS-preferred

    πŸ“’ NOTE

    πŸ“— TIP

Press the number 1 key until a dot (".") appears to separate numbers.

  7. Press the blue checkmark in the bottom right corner of the screen to save your changes.

πŸ“’ NOTE

Before you create the Ventrata config, make sure the device has been boarded and assigned to a store in your Adyen Customer Area.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.

  2. In the action bar, press the + New Config button.

  3. Select β€˜Adyen’ from the list.

  4. Enter a name for the config.

    πŸ“— TIP

Use a clear, descriptive name by combining details like brand, device model and device type, for example, 'Adyen P400Plus - POS'.

  5. Enter the device’s IP address in the β€˜Local Address’ field.

    πŸ“— TIP

Enter the IP address in the following format: http://[ip_address](for example, 192.168.1.1). This is only an example, please enter the actual IP address assigned to the network your device is connected to.

    πŸ“’ NOTE

If your Adyen device is used as a card reader connected to a POS terminal, make sure that both devices are connected to the same network.

  6. Enter the device's POI ID, or the device name.

    πŸ“— TIP

  7. Press the Create Config button.

  8. If the device is connected to a POS terminal, assign this config to the corresponding terminal.
