This article is a manual on how to assemble and configure the EloPOS Z30 device.
The EloPOS Z30 features an integrated connectivity hub and optional customer-facing touchscreen display.
Prerequisites:
Before setting up the EloPOS Z30, reach out to Ventrata Technical Support or your Customer Success Representative, who will:
register your Elo device on EloView
push the appropriate version of the
Ventrata terminal app.
Make sure that the location where the device will be used has internet access.
📗 TIP
All Ventrata-supported Elo devices come with Wi-Fi connectivity. Alternatively, you can connect via Ethernet. Plug the Ethernet cable directly into the tablet's LAN port, or if you are using the Elo Backpack, connect the cable via the backpack.
The device is plugged into a power outlet.
Assemble the Device
I/O Connections
The EloPOS Z30 support the following I/O connections:

Connect Cables
Remove the cable cover door to access the I/O ports.
Remove Cover Door
Route the DC power cable through the hole in the bottom of the stand and connect it.
Connect Power Cable
Connect any additional I/O cables as needed.

Make sure all cables route through the plastic clip at the bottom.

Mount Z30 (Optional)
You can mount the EloPOS Z30 to a table following these steps:
Secure the mounting bracket to the table using M4 screws or #10 diameter screws (not part of the package).

Lower the system onto the bracket and slide it back until the bracket engages with the screws on the bottom.

Secure the system to the bracket using the screw included in the box.

Power on the system.

Enroll device with EloView
Turn on the device using the POWER button on the back of the device.

On the Connect to Wi-Fi page select your Wi-Fi network.
Connect to Wi-Fi
When connected, the device may perform multiple updates.
Update Device
One the following screen, select Enroll with EloView.

Confirm by press the OK button.

📒 NOTE
Ignore the EloView sign-up screen. The device will automatically sign in.
Additional updates may be performed, including the installation of the
Ventrata terminal app.

Create Terminal
To use an Elo tablet with the Ventrata terminal app, create a terminal entry for the device in the Ventrata dashboard.
Go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.

If you use Destinations, select the destination for which you want to add the new terminal.

Press the + New Terminal button.

Enter ‘Name’.

Make sure to enter a descriptive name so the device is easily recognised in the list.
Enter the device’s serial number.

You can find the Serial Number on the back of the device (copy the number following S/N).
Check or change the destination in which the terminal device will be used.

Select the appropriate payment gateway.

Select the configs for all connected devices, such as printers or scanners.

Select the Terminals mode.

Press the Create Terminal button.
