How to Use Multi-Scan

Redeem multiple tickets or passes in one scan flow.

Multi-Scan allows you to scan multiple tickets or passes in a row and redeem them together as a single action. This is especially useful for groups travelling together, helping you move queues faster during busy periods.


When to Use Multi-Scan

Use Multi-Scan when:

  • A group arrives together, each holding their own ticket or pass

  • You want to redeem multiple tickets without restarting the scan flow

  • Speed is important (for example, summer queues, street sales, Hop-On Hop-Off competition)

Multi-Scan works for:

  • Passes, tickets, or bookings

  • A mix of reseller and non-reseller bookings

As long as all scanned items share the same:

  • Currency

  • Product

  • Option


How Multi-Scan Works

  1. Scan the first ticket or pass.

  2. Tap the + icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Scan the next ticket or pass.

  4. The screen refreshes automatically.

  5. The ticket count increases (for example, from 1 Adult to 4 Adults).

  6. Repeat as needed.

  7. When ready, proceed as normal — collect any balance due or redeem the tickets.


Multi-Scan in the Dashboard

Tickets scanned as part of the multi-scan process are upgraded into a single booking. This is reflected in the dashboard.

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.

  2. Locate the scanned tickets.

  3. The original tickets are now in the Upgraded status.

  4. A new booking is created containing all upgraded ticket, visible in the booking detail.
