How to Configure FM3056 Newland Scanner

How to configure an FM3056 Newland scanner with a terminal device via USB and prepare it for scanning using printed barcodes.

Prerequisites:

  • The scanner is connected to the turnstile via a USB cable.

Create Scanner Config in Ventrata

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.

  2. In the action bar, press the + New Config button.

  3. Select 'Scanner' from the list.

  4. Enter a name for the config.

  5. Select the USB protocol.

  6. Press the Create Config button.

Configure FM3056 Newland Scanner

  1. Scan the 'Restore All Factory Defaults' barcode.

  2. Scan the 'Enter Setup' barcode to open settings on the device.

  3. Scan the 'USB CDC' barcode.

  4. Scan the 'Exit Setup'barcode to finish the setup.
