How to Use Closures

Closures close availability for products for select periods.

Create a New Closure

📗 TIP

You can also create closures directly from the relevant product's page.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Closures.

  2. Press the + New Closure button.

  3. Select the product the availability of which will be closed.

  4. Enter a name for the closure. This can be the reason for a closure, or any other identifier.

  5. Check the 'Ignore if PAX' box to keep dates and tour times available if bookings have already been made for those slots.

  6. Keep the 'Lock' checkbox ticked to prevent sales during the closure period. Availability will appear as Sold Out (Web Checkout, Terminal) or Locked (Backoffice).

  7. Select which options or tour times are unavailable during this time, or keep the default option (All).

    If no option or tour is selected, the product is unavailable for sale for the selected period.

    If a specific option is selected, that option is unavailable during this time.

    If a tour is selected, that tour is shown as Sold Out or Locked.


  8. Enter the start and end dates of the closure.

  9. Press the + ADD DATE RANGE button to add multiple date ranges.

    📒 NOTE

    If you create a closure without a date range, the closure will always apply. Make sure to select a date range for the closure to only apply during that period.


  10. Deselect weekdays when the closure is not active.

  11. Deselect sources where the closure is not active.

  12. Press the Create Closure button.
