This article is a manual on how to configure Zenbus devices.

Zenbus devices are primarily used for real-time tracking and passenger information in transportation systems. They are typically installed in buses or other transit vehicles to:

  • Track Vehicle Locations

  • Improve Fleet Management

  • Integrate with External Systems

To enable communication between the device and Ventrata, a configuration must exist in the Ventrata dashboard.

Create Configuration

Prerequisites:

  • Assemble the device according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Enable Server Settings

  1. Enter the device's web interface address (for example, 192.168.1.1) into your browser's address bar.

  2. Enter the password to access the device settings.

    📒 NOTE

If this is you first time setting up the device, use the default password provided by the manufacturer. You will be prompted to change it—do so, then continue with the configuration.

  3. Navigate to Services > GPS.

  4. Press the HTTPS tab.

  5. Ensure the HTTPS/HTTP Server Settings are enabled.

  6. In the 'URL' field, fill in the address.

    Example: 192.168.1.198:1337

    • 192.168.1.198 is the IP address of the connected device such as an Elo tablet

    • 1337 is the default port number

      📒 NOTE

It is strongly recommended that you use this port number.
