RocketRez is a cloud-based ticketing and business management platform designed for tour operators and attractions, particularly popular with attractions in North America.
This operator connection (also often referred to as backend) allows you to connect with other operators using RocketRez to resell their products through Ventrata more efficiently and automatically.
The capabilities of this connection include:
Syncing availability from your operator's RocketRez system.
Posting bookings, updates, and cancellations from Ventrata to RocketRez.
Receiving vouchers/tickets from your operator's RocketRez system and issuing them to your customers.
The RocketRez's RocketBooking API used for this connection is a custom API that does not follow the OCTO API standard, which may limit certain functionality and capabilities.
Configuring Operator Backend
Before You Begin:
Ensure the company whose products you want to resell is created as an operator in Ventrata.
Ensure the products of this operator are created in Ventrata. The connection can sync availability, bookings, etc., but it does not automatically create products in Ventrata.
Contact your operator using RocketRez and request your API Credentials for Ventrata, which should include:
Supplier ID. This typically an alphanumeric string, with or without hyphens. Used to identify your operator in RocketRez system. Example:

.Reseller ID. Typically an alphanumeric string, without hyphens. Used to identify you as a reseller in operator's RocketRez system. Example:

Your operator will need to contact RocketRez Team ([email protected]) to obtain these credentials as this information is not available to them in the RocketRez interface.
In the Ventrata Dashboard, navigate to Products → Operators, and select the RocketRez-powered operator for which you would like to set up the connection.
In the Backend Partner section, choose RocketRez from the list of available partners and enter the Supplier ID, Reseller ID and API Key you've received.
Click Update Operator to save the configuration.
Mapping Products
Once the operator has been configured with its backend, you can proceed to Product Mapping—the process of connecting your Ventrata products and options with the corresponding products and options from the operator's RocketRez system:
In the Ventrata Dashboard, navigate to Products → Products and select the product you would like to map to the operator's RocketRez system.
Edit the product and ensure the Operator is set to the correct operator to which this product belongs, where you have already configured the backend.
Check Backend Connected for this product to use the API connection (backend). To pull availability from RocketRez, ensure Backend Availability is checked. Click Update Product to save.
The product page will now display a Mappings tab. Navigate to this tab and map your Ventrata product, option(s), and units by selecting the corresponding products, options, and units from the dropdown lists as received from RocketRez. Ensure that no fields are left empty (unmapped), and click Save Changes.
