Point to Point allows you to create products that offer transfer services from one point to another with pickup points and drop-off points in between.
Follow the steps below to create a point to point product.
Create a Point to Point
In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Product > Products.
Create a product by pressing the + New Product button.
Enter product name. This can include, for example, the route or ticket type (single, group, return, etc.).
Fill in information pertaining to your product.
Scroll down the product form or simply search for ‘Point to Point’ and tick the ‘Point to Point’ checkbox.
Press the Create Product button.
Create Point Groups
Point groups are zones which group multiple points (stops) together.
On the product page, select the Point Groups tab.
Press the + NEW POINT GROUP button.
Enter point group name.
Press the Create Point Group button.
Create Points
Points are stops on a journey between two points, where passengers can board, get off or both.
On the product page, select the Points tab.
Press the + NEW POINT button.
Enter point name.
Select a point group from the drop-down menu.
Press the Create Point button.
Create an All-Day Run
Runs are routes the service takes to get from the starting point to the finishing point. All day runs are regular non-stop services throughout the day.
📒 NOTE
You can create only 1 all day run for your product. To create multiple all day runs, create new products which will hold each run.
On the product page, select the Runs tab.
Press the + NEW RUN button.
Enter run name. This can include, for example, the route, point group or type of ticket (single, return, etc.).
Check the ‘All Day’ box.
Press the ADD STOP button.
Select a point from the drop-down menu.
Select whether the point offers pickup and/or dropoff.
Repeat the process for each new point in the run.
If your run ends at the same point it started from, add stops from the furthest point in reverse order.
Check the ‘Return’ box next to each stop in the second half of the list.
📗 TIP
Because each point will be listed twice, a ‘Return’ flag will let the system know that the stop is not a duplicate but a deliberate stop on the return journey.

You can rearrange points using the three lines next to each point.
Press the Create Run button to save your settings.
Create an Overnight Run
Runs are routes the service takes to get from the starting location, or point, to the end location. Overnight runs are services that start before midnight and last past midnight.
On the product page, select the Runs tab.
Press the + NEW RUN button.
Enter run name. This can include, for example, the route or type of ticket (single, return, etc.).
📒 NOTE
Leave the ‘All Day’ box unchecked.
Press the ADD STOP button.
Select a point from the drop-down menu.
Select whether the point offers pickup and/or dropoff.
Repeat the process for each new point in the run.
Check the ‘Next Day’ box next to each point after midnight.
📒 NOTE
Failing to check the ‘Next Day’ box would push points past midnight ahead of earlier points when the run is saved. This is because the system orders points chronologically, past 00:03 being earlier than 22:33. By flagging points past midnight as ‘Next Day’, the order of points remains as entered.
