How to Create Routes

Routes are collections of pickup points arranged in the order the driver picks up customers for the tours.

Create New Route

Prerequisites:

  • Pickups forย the destination exist in the Ventrata dashboard.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Pickups > Routes.

  2. Press the + New Route.

  3. Enter a 'Name' for the route.

  4. Enter the start time for the journey on this route.

  5. Select an area or type in the name of the area and press Enter to add a new area.


    ๐Ÿ“— TIP

    Areas are zones that group pickup points in nearby locations together. The naming can be derived from your destinations zoning plan or any custom naming convention that suits your operation.


    ๐Ÿ“’ NOTE

    The 'Group' field is no longer in use as it was replaced by Resource Groups.


  6. Press the Add Stop button to start adding stops along the route.

  7. Enter the 'From' time, which indicates when the ride will arrive at the pickup point.

  8. Optionally, you can enter the 'To' time to specify when the ride will leave the pickup point.

  9. Select a pickup point from the list of existing pickup points.

  10. Repeat steps 6.-9. for each new stop.

  11. Press the Create Route button.

Add Route to Tour

Routes are added to tours to suggest customers pickup points during their bookings based on address search.

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.

  2. Select an existing product.

  3. Go to the Tours tab.

  4. Press the pen and paper icon next to an existing tour.

  5. In the 'Routes' field, select the route you want to associate with the tour.

  6. Press the Update Tour button to save your changes.
