How to Create Tours

Tours allow you to create a schedule of tour times throughout a given day when customers can visit your attraction.

There are two methods to create tours:


Create Individual Tours

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.

    Products - Products

  2. Select an existing product.

  3. Go to the Tours tab.

  4. Press the + NEW TOUR button.

  5. Enter tour start time.

  6. Enter a unique name or identifier for the tour.

    This can be, for example, a flight number.


  7. Press the + ADD DATE RANGE button to enter a start and end date for the tour.

    If you leave the fields empty, the tour is always available.

  8. Select a route for the tour as appropriate.
    ​

  9. Tick the 'Pickup Available' checkbox to allow the selection of a pickup point during booking.

  10. Select a pickup which is preselected for the customer during booking.

  11. If the tour offers dropoffs, tick the 'Dropoff Available' checkbox.

  12. Select which sources can offer the tour.

    Available On

  13. Enter the name of a meeting point if applicable.

  14. Enter the latitude and longitude of the meeting point.

  15. Enter a meeting time.

  16. Press the Create Tour button.

Create Tours in Bulk

This process allows you to create tours in regular intervals in a predefined time range.

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.

    Products - Products

  2. Select an existing product.

  3. Go the Tours tab.

  4. Press the + BULK NEW TOUR button.

  5. Enter the start time of the first tour in the 'From' field.

  6. Enter the start time of the last tour in the 'To' field.

  7. Enter an interval (in minutes) at which the tour times begin.

    Set the 'From' time to 9:00 and 'To' time to 13:00 and set the interval to 'Every' 60 minutes. This setup yields 5 tours, starting every hour (9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm).

    Make sure to account enough time for change of staff, cleanup and other logistical challenges as appropriate.

  8. Enter how many minutes before the tour begins customers should assemble at the meeting point.

  9. Press the + ADD DATE RANGE button to enter a start and end date for the tour.
