The Ventrata dashboard offers tools to discern detailed information about focused aspects of your operation. The Generate Report button appears in most sections of the dashboard to help you create reports and charts, useful for both finance and day-to-day operations.

The Generate Reports button appears on the action bar sandwiched between the top navigation and page table. Follow the steps below to create and manage reports and charts.

Reports
Create Report
In this article, the Bookings page is used as an example.
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.

π NOTENotice that certain column titles appear in green. These columns are the input data of your report. Make sure you select and filter the columns that reflect the information you need from the report.
Press the Generate Report button.
Select New Report.
Review your input data.
π NOTE
Remember that these are coming from the filters on columns with green titles.If you wish to include test bookings, check the 'Include Test Data' box.
Select what information you wish to determine using the report:
Total - sum of values
Minimum - the lowest value
Maximum - the highest value
Average - the sum of values included in the report divided by their count
Count - number of selected parameter

Select which information you want to measure from the 'Show' drop-down field.
Select how you want your information sorted from the 'By' drop-down field.

It is helpful to read the steps in constructing your report as "Show Total of PAX by Channel".
βPress the Generate Report button.
A report using the information provided on the left is generated on the right-hand side of the Report Builder.
The Ventrata dashboard offers 4 actions that can be done on the report:
Save Report - save to create up-to-date reports using the latest data
Print Report - print the report in table view, including all your input data and report criteria
Download Excel - download the report to work with the output offline
Download CSV - download the report to import the output into other applications

Save Report
Press the Save Report button.
βEnter 'Name'.
Mark the report as 'Private' if you do not want other users to access your report.
Uncheck the box to make the report public.
Check the 'Include Test Data' box if you wish to include test bookings every time the report is generated anew.
Review and tweak your criteria as needed.
Check the 'Email Report' box to create automatic emails with the update of the report.
Enter the email addresses of your recipients.
Enter how often you want the email sent in days, weeks or months.
Set the start date.Select the time zone.
Select 'Email Date Field' to delimit results since a certain action + date combination.
Enter date range start since the email date field event and range end in days, weeks or months.
π TIP
You can use the Quick Links button to set larger chunks of time, such as last/next month/week, or today, tomorrow, yesterday or day after tomorrow.
βPress the Create Report button.
Manage Reports
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.
Press the Generate Report button.
Select 'Manage Reports'.
A new window with a list of your reports appears onscreen.
βPress the pen and paper icon to edit the report. You will be redirected to the Save Report window from above.
βπ TIP
If you set up automatic email sending, you can test your email setup using the TEST EMAIL button next to your report in the Reports window.
βEdit your report parameters and automatic email settings.
Press the Update Report button to save your changes.

You may also choose to Duplicate or Delete the report.

You can include new input data into your existing report by adding new green columns in the table view by pressing the Show Column, then selecting your report from the list of reports under the Generate Report button.

You can also switch between reports by pressing the OTHER REPORTS button below the report name.

Charts
Create Chart
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.
Press the Generate Report button.
Select 'New Chart'.
Enter 'Name'.
Select chart width in single digits.
βUncheck the 'Private' box if you want want other users to access the chart.
If you wish to include test bookings, check the 'Include Test Data' box.
Select what information you wish to determine using the report:
βTotal - sum of values
Minimum - the lowest value
Maximum - the highest value
Average - the sum of values included in the report divided by their count
Count - number of selected parameter

βSelect chart type.
If you select 'Bar Chart', also select whether in case of multiple objects ('Show' field) they should be stacked on top of each other.
Select whether the bars in your chart should line up horizontally or vertically (default).
Press the Create Chart button.
Your new chart is located above the table view.
Press the Load Chart button at the centre of the chart card.

The report will provide a list of products bought the most often grouped by the nationalities your customers entered during checkout. You may consider adding Customer language as a variable.
