How to Assign Promotion Codes

Create your own promo codes or use Ventrata-generated random codes to offer attractive discounts for your customers.

Create attractive discounts for your customers by utilising promotions. You have the choice to create your own promotion codes or have the Ventrata dashboard generate random codes.

Once your promotions are all setup, this is how you can assign them during booking in different modes of the Ventrata terminal app.

Terminal Mode

The Terminal mode allows you to select or apply pre-selected promotion codes with booked products.

Multi-code promotion

  1. Create a booking with associated promotion codes.

  2. Select the number of units.

  3. Select a promotion from the Promotion section.

  4. Select a code associated with the promotion.
    ​

  5. Remove a promotion by tapping on the promotion code. Then select a new one by tapping on the Select button.

  6. Select the number of units.

  7. Select a date and tour time if applicable.

  8. Press the Add button to add the booking to the order.

  9. Continue shopping or press the Checkout button to finish the order.
    ​


Single-code promotion

  1. Create a booking with an associated promotion.

  2. Select the number of units.

  3. Select a date and tour time if applicable.
    ​

  4. Select a promotion.

  5. Remove a promotion by tapping on the promotion code. Then select a new one by tapping on the Select button.

  6. Press the Add button to add the booking to the order.

  7. Continue shopping or press the Checkout button to finish the order.

Kiosk and Concierge Mode

A customer using the terminal in Kiosk mode or a reseller using the terminal in Concierge already knows the promotion code. In both cases, the user must enter the code manually during booking.

Below is an example of the Ventrata terminal app in Concierge mode.

  1. Select a product in the Ventrata terminal app.

  2. Select 'Custom Promotion Code'.

  3. Tap on the 'Enter Code' text in the Code section.

  4. Type the custom code using the keyboard.

  5. Remove a promotion by deleting the code. Then enter a new one using the onscreen keyboard.

  6. Select the number of units.

  7. Select a date and tour time if applicable.

  8. Press the Add button to add the booking to the order.

  9. Continue shopping or press the Checkout button to finish the order.
