Bands are how Ventrata structures commissions for Resellers. You can edit the commission on the reseller itself, but an operation often has resellers numbering in the thousands. Because most will have the same commission structure, Ventrata operates with Bands.
Create a New Band
In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Resellers > Bands.
Press the + New Band button.
Enter the band 'Name'.
📗 TIP
We recommend a name which contains the reseller type or commission percentage, for instance, Local Reseller, Hotel Porto or 15% Commission.
Select the commission scheme.
Commission - a commission is added to the price of a product, which the reseller keeps when a customer books the product
Wholesale - the reseller buys your products at a contracted rate
Check the 'Percentage' box to display prices to the band in percentage form.
📗 TIP
Since percentage is relative to the price, it is easier to maintain if there are any price changes. However, there are cases when a real number has to be used, for instance, contractual obligations to sell a HOP-ON HOP-OFF train to Viator for €10.
Set a default percentage, which will populate the products with this base percentage.

The default percentage can be overridden at a later date as needed.
Limit what resellers in the band can see.
Hide Internal Notes - if enabled, resellers are unable to view any internal notes. Only public notes.
Hide Product Operator - if enabled, resellers do not know who operates the products they sell for you.
Allow the sale of Gift Cards or Items by resellers in the band.
Indicate the percentage they receive from selling gift cards and / or items.
Add tags by selecting existing tags or start typing and press Enter to create new tags.

Tags are a useful internal tool for filtering and reporting large numbers of data.
Select what resellers have access to:
Tax Rates - choose which tax rates resellers are liable for
Destinations - specify destination in which resellers can sell
Categories - choose the categories which are available to resellers
Products - choose the products which are available for sale
Options - choose the options which are available to resellers
To blacklist items for the band means resellers in the band will not be able to sell products or apply tax rates listed here.
To whitelist items, uncheck the 'Whitelist All ' boxes to allow resellers to sell ONLY the listed items.
Press the Create Band button.
