How to Use Notices

Advertise promotions or updates about upcoming tours using notices.

Create a New Notice

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Notices.

  2. Select the appropriate destination.

  3. Press the + New Notice button.

  4. Enter a starting and end date. The notice will be visible only between these dates.

  5. Select which sales sources will display the notice.

  6. Select which reseller, if any, will see the notice.

  7. If you haven't selected the correct destination, you can change it in this step.


    πŸ“’ NOTE

    If you remove the destination and do not select a different one, you will be able to create the notice but you will not be able to edit it.


  8. Select a promotion that will be advertised.

  9. Check the 'Gift Card' box to enable the sale of gift cards.

  10. If 'Gift Card' is checked, start typing the amounts of gift cards. Multiple amounts can be entered.

  11. Check the 'Confirmation email' box to show the notice on the confirmation email delivered to the customer.

  12. Check the 'Manifest' box to show the notice on the booking in the manifest view.

  13. Enter the title of the notice.

  14. Enter a URL if you have a dedicated page to promote the notice.

  15. Upload a cover image. This will only show on the web checkout.

  16. Type in the body of the notice.

  17. Press the Create Notice button.


Notices in Practice

Backoffice

A notice is indicated by a red triangle in the corner of the dates on which the notice is valid and the notice body text is displayed below the calendar.

Web Checkout

The customer selects the notice date and tour. When they press the Continue button, an overlay window appears with the notice title and body. To dismiss the message, the customer has the option to press the Ok, got it button or close the window using the X in the top right corner.

The notice also appears on the summary page.

Confirmation Email

The customer book a tour and receive their tickets. The notice is displayed on the ticket

Manifest

An orange triangle is displayed on any dates and tour times that fall between the notice period. Hovering over the triangle displays all the notices for the selected date-tour combination.
