This article is a manual on how to configure the A920Pro payment terminal.
The PAX A920Pro is a versatile and secure payment terminal with an integrated high-speed thermal printer and dual cameras - a front camera and a rear camera with autofocus and flash, specifically designed to tasks like barcode scanning and receipt capture.
Assemble Device
Slide open the lock on the back of the terminal.

Remove the battery.

Note the battery's orientation for correct placement later.
The A920Pro has two SIM card slots:
SIM1 on the bottom
SIM2 on the top
SIM Card Slots
With the chip facing down and the cut corner on the left, push the SIM card fully into the SIM card slot.

Place the battery and the cover back.
Slide the lock left to secure the cover.

Open the top cover on the back of the terminal.

Insert the thermal printer roll.
Insert Paper Roll
Leave a bit of paper sticking out and close the cover.

Device Setup
Prerequisites:
The device is configured in the PAX store.
Make sure that the location where the device will be used has internet access.
π TIP
You can connect the device via Wi-Fi, a 4G network, or both for greater flexibility.
The device is plugged into a power outlet or fully charged.
The
Ventrata terminal app is pushed to the device.
Connect Device to Network
Turn the terminal on by holding the power button on the right side.

π NOTE
The first time the device is powered on, initialisation may take several minutes.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to access settings by selecting the cogwheel.

Enter the password to your device.

In case you do not know your password, contact your Customer Success Representative.
Tap the 'Network & Internet' option.

Select 'Mobile network' for mobile data setup.

Then, open the 'Advanced' menu.
Scroll down to select 'Access point names'.
Select 'APN'.
Tap the '+' icon to add a new APN.

Set the following fields to
onomondo
:Name

In the list of APNs, select onomondo.

You should be connected to mobile data shortly.
Set up Device with Viva Wallet
Open the
Viva Wallet app.
Select the device language.

Allow all permissions on the screen for full functionality.
Set Permissions
Set up an internet connection based on your preferred method and device type.

When connected, on the activation screen, press the User Activation Code button.

Copy the code displayed on the screen.

On your computer, log into your Viva Wallet Members page.
Go to Sales > Physical Payments.
Select 'Card Terminals'.
Card Terminals
Press the New Card Terminal button.

Copy the activation code into the 'Device code' field.
Then, press Next.
Device Code
Check the account name on the device.
Press the Continue button if the account name is correct.
Activate Payment on Account
The set up is successfully completed when the Viva Wallet menu appears onscreen.
Setup Complete
Return to the main screen.
The
Ventrata terminal app should be already installed.

Create Terminal
To use a PAX A920Pro payment terminal with the Ventrata terminal app, create a terminal entry for the device in the Ventrata dashboard.
Go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.

If you use Destinations, select the destination for which you want to add the new terminal.

Press the + New Terminal button.

Enter βNameβ.

Make sure to enter a descriptive name so the device is easily recognised in the list.
Enter the deviceβs serial number.

You can find the Serial Number on the back of the device (copy the number following S/N).

Check or change the destination in which the terminal device will be used.

Select the appropriate payment gateway.
