How to Clear Customer Data

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a strict EU privacy law that governs how businesses must handle customer data.

To support customers' right to erasure, the Ventrata dashboard enables operators to permanently delete all customer data via the Orders table.


Customer Data Collection

Customer data is collected during the booking process. Customer fields can be configured at both the booking and ticket level for each channel.

Any customer data collected is stored with each order, and can be viewed in the Bookings > Bookings, Tickets, or Orders tables. Customer information is displayed in the header of the booking level.

Booking Level

Customer information is also stored in the Bookings > Customers table, independent of purchases.


Clear Customers

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Orders.

  2. Select all orders belonging to the customer requesting data deletion.


    📒 NOTE

    A customer may have multiple records if they made more than one purchase. Ensure that you select all orders belonging to the same customer before proceeding.


  3. Press the Bulk Action button.

  4. Select the 'Clear Customers' option.

  5. Press the Clear Customers button to confirm.

  6. Verify that all customer information has been removed from the selected orders.
