Challenges alert tour staff to check or verify specific conditions before allowing ticket redemption.

βœ… Use Cases:

  • Check visitor ID for student discounts, age-limited attractions

  • Coupons for special discounts or partnerships

Create Challenge

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Challenges.

  2. Press the + New Challenge button.

  3. Enter a name, which will be displayed on the dialog window in the Ventrata terminal app.

  4. Check the 'Match Tags' box to display the challenge only on bookings that include products, destinations or promotions with the same tag.

  5. Type a message that will describe the purpose of the challenge.

  6. Select whether the challenge applies to an entire booking or each ticket in a booking.

  7. Blacklist destinations, products and / or promotions which will not contain the challenge.

    Alternatively, uncheck the 'Whitelist Destinations / Products / Promotions' boxes and list only items that will contain in the challenge.


  8. Press the Create Challenge button.

Allow Challenges at the Location

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Locations.

  2. Choose the location where the challenge will be employed, or create a new one.

  3. In the Allowed Next Actions section of the location form, check the 'Approve Challenge' box.

  4. Press the Update Location button to save your changes.
