How to Use Adjustments

Price adjustments are changes to the price of a product to match the prices on the market, or because a custom price may be needed.

Price adjustments are changes to the price of a product to match the prices on the market, or because a custom price may be needed for a specific type of booking.

Enable Adjustments

Product

To be able to adjust the price for a product, the feature must be enabled on that product.

  1. Go to Products > Products.

    Products - Products

  2. Select an existing product.

  3. Press the pen and paper icon to access the product detail.

  4. Scroll down or simply search for 'Allow Adjustments'.

  5. Check the 'Allow Adjustments' checkbox to enable price adjustments.

  6. Press the Update Product button.

Repeat for every product where price adjustment is desirable.

Location

Price adjustments can be done through the terminal app. Make sure to enable adjustments in the location settings as well.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Locations.

  2. Select the location where you wish to enable adjustments.

  3. Check the 'Allow Adjustments' box.

  4. Press the Update Locations button.



Adjust Price on a New Booking

This example is made using the backoffice but the steps can be reproduced across all channels.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, press the + New Order button.

  2. Select your product, number of tickets and tour date and time.

  3. Press the ADD PRICE ADJUSTMENT button below the product.

  4. Enter the adjustment amount.

  5. Select whether the amount should be applied to the entire booking, each ticket or it is a percentage value applied to the booking.

    📒 NOTE

    When selecting the 'per ticket' option, do not adjust the quantity as it will multiply the amount by the number entered in the 'Qty' field. When you select the 'per ticket' option, the system will automatically apply the new price separately for each ticket in the booking.


  6. Press the Checkout button to finish the new booking flow or press the Add to Card and Reload button to continue adding products.

  7. The adjustment is listed in the order details.

Adjust Price on an Existing Booking

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Bookings > Bookings.

  2. Select an existing booking.

  3. Go to the order management section of the booking detail.

  4. Press the Make Changes button.

  5. Enter the adjustment amount.

  6. Select whether the amount should be applied to the entire booking, each ticket or it is a percentage value applied to the booking.
