How to Activate Terminal in Kiosk Mode

Kiosk mode is a self-service solution that eliminates the need for staff assistance.

Prerequisites:

  • A location for the sales kiosk is created in the Ventrata dashboard.

  • Configs of peripheral devices, such as printers or payment terminals, are created in the Ventrata dashboard.

Create New Terminal

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.

  2. If you use Destinations, select the destination for which you want to add the new terminal.

  3. Press the + New Terminal button.

  4. Enter terminal 'Name'.

  5. Enter 'Serial Number' if available.




    📗 TIP
    If you are using a terminal device, you can find the Serial Number on the back of the device (copy the number following S/N).


  6. Select 'Gateway'.

  7. Select the configs of all peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, routers, etc. connected to the terminal.

  8. Select the Sales Kiosk mode.

  9. Select the location of the sales kiosk.

  10. Press the Create Terminal button.


Activate Kiosk

  1. Go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals in the dashboard.

  2. Select your terminal and keep the Update Terminal window open on your screen.

  3. Open the Ventrata app on the kiosk.

  4. On the Activation page of the app, type the activation code displayed at the top of the terminal details.

  5. The kiosk is ready to use.
