How to Waive Order Balance

Allow customers to reschedule tours with waived balances and encourage positive referrals.

The Ventrata terminal app supports the option to waive an order balance when customers reschedule their tours.

Rescheduling can happen for various reasons, and as a tour operator, you have the option to waive balances to foster strong customer relationships and encourage positive word-of-mouth referrals.


Enable Rebalance at Location

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Locations.

  2. Select your location or create a new one.

    Make sure to create the location under the desired destination.
    ​


  3. Scroll down the form or simply search for 'Allow Rebalance'.

  4. Check the 'Allow Rebalance' box to enable the feature.

  5. Press the Update Location button to save your changes.


Rebalance Flow

Prerequisites:

  • Make sure the 'Allow Reschedule' feature is enabled on the terminal Location.

  1. Scan the customer's ticket or enter the booking reference using the on-screen keyboard.

  2. Press the Reschedule button.

  3. Select a new tour time or day.

  4. When the new travel date is more expensive than the original booking, the price difference between is displayed on the tour time and the Reschedule button.

  5. Use the Rebalance Booking toggle to rebalance any outstanding payment. No price difference is displayed on the tour time or the Reschedule button.

  6. When the Reschedule button is pressed, the tour time and or date is changed but the Payment Method page is skipped as there is no price difference.
