How to Set up BOCA Printers

Set up your BOCA printer-quality ticketing with POS integration.

BOCA printers are designed for environments where efficient, high-quality ticketing is essential. Their durable construction and fast, reliable output make them ideal for handling high-volume ticketing needs.

Prerequisites:

  • The printer is connected to a power source using the attached power cable (1).

  • The printer is connected to a POS terminal using a USB-B cable (2).

    We can assure expected printer capabilities only if a USB-B connection is used.

Future integrations will include connection to a cash drawer using the RJ12 port (3).


Create Printer Config

To connect your BOCA printer with a Ventrata POS system, start by creating a config and assigning it to a terminal within the Ventrata dashboard.

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.

  2. Press the + New Config button.

  3. Select 'Template Printer' from the list.

  4. Enter a name for the config.

  5. Select 'Boca FGL' printer type.

  6. Select 'USB' protocol.

  7. Press the Create Config button.


Add BOCA Config to Terminal

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.

  2. Select an existing terminal or create a new one.

  3. Scroll down the terminal form and select the BOCA template printer config you created above.

  4. Press the Update Terminal button.
