Prerequisites:
Before you scan entries, make sure the following are set up:
A membership product created with the Entry Scan benefit.
If you are using counters, assign the same counter to both the location and the membership product.
📒 NOTE
Counters only work in live mode. To test the Entry Scan benefit, both the membership product booking and the terminal must be in live mode. Otherwise, the scan will not recognise the ticket QR code.
Scan actions enabled on the terminal location:
'Entry' (under Enable Scan Action)
'Entry' (under Scan Counter Action)
If you are using destinations, make sure the destination matches the location and membership product.
Standard Scan
In the
Ventrata terminal app, go to the
Scan tab.

Position the device scanner over the ticket QR code.
Press the Scan Entry button at the bottom of the screen.

Quick Scan
Quick Scan allows tickets to be scanned automatically, without manual confirmation.
Scanned tickets display with indicators:
✅ one tick = scanned offline
✅ ✅ two ticks = synchronised with the server
In the
Ventrata terminal app, go to the
Scan tab.
Press the three-lined button with a tick in the top right corner to switch to Quick Scan mode.

Position the device scanner over the ticket QR code.
The ticket is scanned for entry automatically.

📒 NOTE
A scan entry does not create a booking or check availability, so it is not restricted by capacity limits. However, entry is still limited by:
the counter limits you have set
the usage limits defined in the Entry Scan benefit, such as:
how many times the membership can be used per day / week/ month / year
the total number of times the membership product can be used during its lifetime
