How to Use Membership Benefits on the Kiosk

Membership products allow customers to access exclusive benefits in exchange for a fee.

Memberships allow your customers access exclusive discounts or free tickets by enrolling in a membership plan.

Once memberships and their benefits are configured in your Ventrata dashboard, they can be sold and redeemed directly on self-service kiosks.

Sell Membership

Sell membership products using the Buy tickets flow on a self-service kiosk.

Prerequisites:

If you do not usually use destinations, do not create them just for this purpose.

  1. On the kiosk screen, tap the Buy tickets button.

  2. Select the membership product.

  3. Select the number of memberships in the desired tier.

  4. Tap the Continue button at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Review the summary of the booking and tap Checkout.

  6. On the following screen, fill in customer information.

    Configure what information is collected on the Sales Kiosk channel using the Fields tab on the product level.


  7. Press the Continue button.

  8. Finally, select a payment method.

Once the booking is completed, the membership details are printed on the ticket, followed by the order receipt.

Redeem Membership Benefits

The customer redeems their membership independently at a self-service kiosk.

Prerequisites:

  • The location(s) where you want to redeem memberships have 'Allow Membership Benefits' enabled (see below)

Enable membership benefits redemption on the location settings.

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Locations.

  2. Make sure the correct destination is selected.

  3. Select an existing location or create a new one.

  4. Enable the 'Allow Membership Benefits' checkbox.

  5. Press the Update Location button to save your changes.

Member Login

The customer selects the Use membership option on the kiosk start screen.

Then they scan their membership card or enter the membership reference manually.

Each membership is assigned a membership reference, which is usually the same as the ticket number.

For manual entry, you can also use the booking reference or order reference if a code is not available for scanning.

If the membership is valid, it appears under Your membership.

The customer then selects their preferred product, date and time. The system automatically applies the first applicable promotion or ticket benefit.

  • Promotion benefit - any applicable discount is shown on the Summary screen under the 'Discount Code' line

  • Ticket benefit - member tickets appear on the Select tickets screen

The customer then proceeds to payment to complete the booking.

Once payment is completed, a confirmation screen is displayed and automatically logged out. To redeem their membership, the customer must start the Use membership flow from the beginning.

To log out during the booking flow, the customer must press the member button (labelled with their name) at the bottom of the screen to log out and confirm when the Membership Logout window appears.

Member Activity

Track member bookings through the MEMBER ACTIVITY button in the membership booking detail.

  1. Go to Bookings > Bookings and open the membership booking.

  2. In the ticket details, press the MEMBER ACTIVITY button.

  3. The Bookings table opens, filtered to show only bookings linked to the selected membership reference.
