How to Use Memberships on the Web Checkout

Membership products allow customers to enrol to access exclusive benefits in exchange for a fee.

Membership products are a special type of products that grant customers discounts on other products or access to exclusive tickets. Follow the guides linked in the πŸ“— TIPs below to set up your membership product, and review the full membership flow in the final section of this article.

If the membership was bought in Test mode, i.e. the 'Test order' box was checked during the purchase, the membership can only be redeemed on test mode.

Conversely, live bookings cannot be used on a Web Checkout in Test mode.

Verification Methods

Members can log in using:

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Membership reference

Membership Flow

If the membership was bought in Test mode, i.e. the 'Test order' box was checked during the purchase, the membership can only be redeemed on test mode.

Member Login

On the Tickets page, the customer can use the Member Login link to log into their membership.

The customer has a choice of three login methods:

Notice that the Member Login window includes a Contact us link in the bottom left corner. Clicking this link opens a new email message in your default email client, addressed to the email specified in the 'Contact Email' field of the brand associated with the Web Checkout. Contact Us

  • E-mail / Phone number - enter the email address / phone number provided during the purchase of the membership product. Press the Send verification code button. Then, enter the 6-digit verification code sent to the customer's email address / phone number.

  • Membership reference - enter ticket reference and last name provided during the purchase of the membership product. Then, press the Verify button to log in.

The ticket reference is located either in the booking detail, in the voucher sent to the customer's email address or the printed voucher.

When the customer successfully logs in, a confirmation window appears onscreen with the details of the membership:

  • Membership name - Ticket Tier

Customers can purchase multiple memberships. When they log in using their email address or phone number, the Member Login window shows the details of each membership, and the customer must select the one they want to use for the current booking.

When they log in using the Membership reference + Last name, customers log in to a specific membership associated with the used reference.

When the customers presses the Continue with your booking button, the Member Login link is replaced with the customer's name.

Redeem Benefits

The customer can now use their membership to book tours using either a promotion benefit or a ticket benefit (dependent on membership product setup).

A associated promotion discount appears when the customer selects a unit. The promotion is applied once the date and tour time are selected.

Ticket Benefit

If there is an applicable ticket discount, the discounted ticket appears to a logged in member on the Tickets page. The customer can select their member tickets as well as any other unit sold at regular rates, paying only for the tickets outside their membership.

Checkout

The customer clicks Continue to proceed to checkout. On the Checkout page, their information from the membership are pre-populated in their contact details.

From here, customers proceed to payment to complete the order.
