How to Create Destinations

Destinations allow you to split your operation into several separate ones.

Destinations allow you to split your websites into several separate ones if needed.

For example, if you are operating more than one business, or in more than one country, region or city - each with different products, resellers - a destination can cover all bases.

A destination is like a company that owns different products.


Prerequisites:

  • Receipt templates are created in the dashboard.

  • Gateways are created in the dashboard.

Create a New Destination

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Destinations.

  2. Press the + New Destination button.

  3. Select the default language of the destination.

  4. Select all available languages in the destination.

  5. Enter the name of the destination.


    📗 TIP

    The destination name can be a place name or a company name.


  6. Enter the destination's page title. This can be the same as the name.

  7. Enter a brief description for the destination.

  8. The URL path will auto-populate but you can change it to a custom path.

    All of the above fields are displayed on the web checkout.


  9. Add a tag or start typing and press Enter to create a new one.

  10. Start typing the destination address and select the correct one from the list of Google results.

  11. Enter the email and / or telephone number of a point of contact for the destination.

  12. Check the 'Featured' box if the destination should be featured on the checkout homepage.

  13. Select destination country.

  14. Select destination time zone.

  15. Select ledgers time zone.

    📗 TIP

    If Ledgers time zone is different than that of the destination, the time of ledger creation will be adjusted to the appropriate time zone.


  16. Select all the currencies available in the destination.

  17. Select the default currency.

  18. Select the registries associated with this destination.

  19. Select the payment gateways that can process transactions at this destination.

  20. Associate a brand with the destination.

  21. Select the appropriate receipt templates.

  22. Enter destination billing details and billing terms.

  23. Enter an email address which will receive notification emails for bookings coming from this destination.

  24. Enter the email address which receives the reseller sign up email.

  25. Select a sequence.

    Sequences count orders, transactions and invoices.


  26. Press the Create Destination button.

Branding

Once the destination is created, you can add a cover image and a branding image. These images will be displayed on the web checkout landing page (cover image) and the destination page (banner image).

Meta Tags​

Add tags and a short description to improve SEO and help highlight the destination in your customers' search results.


Product List

This tab displays all the products in this destination. Within the list, you can:

  • reorder products by dragging the product row to the desired position

  • mark products as featured, which affects how they are displayed on the web checkout

  • see whether a product is active
