How to Create Members and Memberships within Existing Households

A single membership purchase can include multiple membership tickets, each generating a separate member.

A household is automatically created after a membership purchase, if the order contains a last name or company name. You can manage and create members from this view.

Create a New Member

  1. In the Ventrata Dashboard, go to Bookings > Households.

  2. Select an existing household.

  3. Press the + NEW MEMBER button.

  4. Check the 'Primary' box to make the member the primary contact for the household. The primary status is indicated by a blue label on the member profile.

  5. Check the 'Test' box to make the member as a test member.

  6. Enter a household role for the member (for example, family member — Mother, Father, or job title — CEO, Marketing manager). This role is displayed as a grey label on the member profile.

  7. The 'Household' field is automatically prefilled.

  8. Select or create a tag to categorise and filter members.

  9. Enter an internal reference in the 'Code' field.

  10. Fill in member details, including photo, name, email address, and mobile number.

    📗 TIP

    If a member has an email address on their ticket, they will receive a verification email. If a mobile number is provided, they can also verify it using a 6-digit code.


  11. Check the 'Send me the latest offers and exclusive discounts' if the member opts in to marketing communication.

  12. Press the Create Member button.

Create a New Membership

Memberships are created using membership products. A member can hold multiple memberships. If auto-renew is disabled, a new membership can be created directly from the household.

  1. In the Ventrata Dashboard, go to Bookings > Households.

  2. Select an existing household.

  3. Press the + NEW MEMBERSHIP button.

  4. A new booking window opens, with the product list limited to membership products.

  5. Select a membership product, choose the number of tickets and review the validity.

  6. For each ticket, select whether it is for a new or existing member.

    • Create New Member - enter required details (typically First Name and Last Name, Email and Mobile)

    • Select Existing Member - choose an existing member and continue to checkout

  7. Press the Add to Cart and Reload button to add another membership, or press Checkout to complete the booking.
