Command mode is a type of external payment developed by Ventrata. It enables the user to use one device for booking and a second device for payment.
Settings
Prerequisites:
Booking Device
The kiosk functions as the booking device when used in command mode.
In your Ventrata dashboard to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.
Select an existing terminal or create a new terminal in kiosk mode.
Select ‘Ventrata external’ under Gateway.

Select ‘Sales Kiosk’ under Mode.

Press the Update Terminal button.

Payment Device
In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.
Select an existing terminal or create a new terminal.
Select ‘Command Only’ under Mode.

Assign a location to the device.

‼️ IMPORTANT.
The external payment device must be assigned to the same location where the booking device is used.
Press the Update Terminal button.

Payment Process
When creating a new booking, select a product, choose the date and time, and follow the steps below.
Choose the Pay with Card payment method.

The payment goes through automatically.
A confirmation page appears, and you can place a new order on the kiosk.
