How to Use Notifications

Notifications are automatic email or SMS messages to your team regarding various updates related to


Create New Notification

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Activity > Notifications.

  2. Make sure that the correct destination is selected.

  3. Press the + New Notification button.

  4. Select an event that triggers the notification.

Booking Notifications

  1. Select one of the booking notification options
    ​

    • Booking Confirmation - a booking in the selected destination is confirmed

    • Booking Update - a booking in the selected destination is updated

    • Booking Cancellation - a booking in the selected destination is cancelled

    • Booking Redemption - a booking in the selected destination is redeemed
      ​

  2. Select which products trigger the notification or keep 'All Products'.

  3. Select the booking sources where a change to the product was made.

  4. Select the types of bookings that trigger the notification.

  5. Enter the email addresses of the notification recipients and/or their phone numbers including the country code, no spaces.

  6. Check the 'Use Customer Language' box to deliver notifications translated into the customer's preferred language as provided during checkout.

  7. Then press the Create Notification button.

Item Stock Change

  1. Select 'Item Stock Change' from the list of events.

  2. Select which items trigger the notification or keep 'All Items'.

    Make sure you have set up Stocks for all the items that should trigger the notification.

  3. Enter the threshold number of items that, if the actual stock falls below, will trigger a notification.

  4. Enter the email addresses of the notification recipients and/or their phone numbers including the country code, no spaces.

  5. Check the 'Use Customer Language' box to deliver notifications translated into the customer's preferred language as provided during checkout.

  6. Then press the Create Notification button.

Product Availability Change

  1. Select the 'Product Availability Change' from the list of events.

  2. Select which products trigger the notification or keep 'All Products'.

  3. Enter the threshold number of vacancies that, if availability falls below, will trigger a notification.

  1. Select the 'Product Fare Change' from the list of events.

  2. Select which products trigger the notification or keep 'All Products'.

Terminal Messages

These notifications are triggered only by users (sellers) messaging from the Ventrata terminal app. Outgoing messages from the dashboard do not trigger notifications.

  1. Select 'Terminal Message' from the list of events.

  2. Enter the email addresses of the notification recipients and/or their phone numbers including the country code, no spaces.

  3. Check the 'Use Customer Language' box to deliver notifications translated into the customer's preferred language as provided during checkout.
