How to Create Tour Groups

Tour groups allow you to group tours together based on time of day to change pricing and availability.

Create a New Tour Group

  1. In your Ventrata dashboard, go to Products > Products.

    Products - Products

  2. Select an existing product.

  3. Go to the Tour Groups tab.

  4. Press the + NEW TOUR GROUP button.

  5. Enter tour group name.

    Name

  6. Select one of the following presets:

    Time From & To Preset

    • None - no preset is set, set the 'Time From' and 'Time To' schedules, see step 7.

    • Sunrise - calculated based on the product longitude and latitude; tour groups using this preset are automatically updated throughout the year with the changing sunrise times

    • Sunset - calculated based on the product longitude and latitude; tour groups using this preset are automatically updated throughout the year with the changing sunset times

    • Opening - based on the opening time set in the Opening hours tab

    • Closing - based on closing time set in the Opening hours tab

    Any tours that fall between the selected time frame will be automatically included in the tour group.


  7. Depending on your selection,
    ​

    • None selected - set from and to times of the tour group

      None Selected

    • Presets selected - set the from and to offsets based on the selected preset in minutes or hours

      Time From & To Offset

      Use '-' (minus) to set time before the preset, for example, select the Closing preset, set 'Time From Offset' to '- 60 minutes', which means that the tour group starts 60 minutes before closing time.

  8. Press the Create Tour Group button.
