โPalisis is a ticketing and reservation platform popular with tourism and transportation businesses around the world. TourCMS is Palisis' API & channel manager component of the system that allows operators using Palisis and other TourCMS-connected systems to establish API connectivity with their distribution partners & more.
This operator connection (also referred to as backend) allows you to connect with other operators using TourCMS and resell their products through Ventrata more efficiently and automatically. The capabilities of this connection include:
Syncing availability and pricing from your operator's TourCMS system.
Posting bookings, updates, and cancellations from Ventrata to TourCMS.
Receiving vouchers/tickets from your operator's TourCMS system and issuing them to your customers.

The TourCMS API used for this connection is a custom API that does not follow the OCTO API standard, which may limit certain functionality and capabilities.

Configuring Operator Backend
Before You Begin:
Ensure the company whose products you want to resell is created as an operator in Ventrata.
Ensure the products of this operator are created in Ventrata. The connection can sync availability, pricing, bookings, and more, but it does not automatically create products in Ventrata.
If you have not previously connected with an operator using TourCMS, you will need to first create a free agent account in their platform here. Be sure to complete your account with some key information about your company to help your partners recognize you on the platform.
โWhile logged into your TourCMS agent account, go to https://admin.tourcms.com/partner/api/settings.php and make a note of your TourCMS Marketplace Account ID and Private API key. You will need these for the next steps.
โContact your operator and ask them to set up a connection to your agent account on TourCMS. Once this is done they'll be able to share the Channel ID with you, which will be needed for the next steps. You can also see the Channel IDs at https://admin.tourcms.com/partner/channels/connections.php when logged in to your TourCMS agent account.
In the Ventrata Dashboard, navigate to Products โ Operators, and select the TourCMS-powered operator for which you would like to set up the connection.
In the Backend Partner section, choose Palisis TourCMS from the list of available connections and enter your Marketplace ID, Private API key, and Channel ID from the previous steps.
โClick Update Operator to save the configuration.

Mapping Products
Once the operator has been configured with its backend, you can proceed to Product Mappingโthe process of connecting your Ventrata products and options with the corresponding products and options from the operator's TourCMS system:
In the Ventrata Dashboard, navigate to Products โ Products and select the product you would like to map to the operator's TourCMS system.
โEdit the product and ensure the Operator is set to the correct operator to which this product belongs, where you have already configured the backend.
Check Backend Connected for this product to use the API connection (backend). To pull availability from TourCMS, ensure Backend Availability is checked; to pull pricing, check Backend Pricing. If you do not check Backend Availability and/or Backend Pricing, the product will use the availability and/or pricing configured in Ventrata but will still post bookings to TourCMS. Click Update Product to save.
โThe product page will now display a Mappings tab. Navigate to this tab and map your Ventrata product, option(s), and units by selecting the corresponding products, options, and units from the dropdown lists as received from TourCMS. Ensure that no fields are left empty (unmapped), and click Save Changes.
Troubleshooting

The product/option/unit I want to map is not on the dropdown. | The dropdown list is pulled from TourCMS based on products/options/units the operator made available to you. Double-check these details with your operator. If the issue persists, contact us for support. |
