How to Set up a Screensaver for Kiosks

You can upload a screensaver to your kiosk that displays when the device is inactive. This can be a single image, a loop of multiple images, or a video.

To ensure your screensaver loads correctly, follow these recommendations:

Supported file types

images: .jpg, .png, .gif

video: .mp4

Maximum file size

100 MB (preferably smaller for faster loading)

Recommended screen size

(for Elo 10" kiosks)

1200 x 1920


Create Screensaver Config

  1. Log in to your Ventrata dashboard.

  2. Go to Ticket Terminals > Configs.

  3. Press the + New config button.

  4. Select the 'Screensaver' config.

  5. Enter a name for your screensaver.

  6. Upload the screensaver file.

  7. Then, press the Create Config button to save.

Assign Screensaver to Kiosk

  1. In the Ventrata dashboard, go to Ticket Terminals > Terminals.

  2. Select your terminal that is in kiosk mode.

  3. In the 'Config' field, select your screensaver config.

  4. Press the Update Terminal button to save your settings.

When the terminal is idle for more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the screensaver will automatically appear on the screen.
