Booking.com, a subsidiary of Booking Holdings, is one of the world's largest online travel agencies (OTAs), offering a vast array of accommodations, transportation options, and experiences to millions of travelers globally. Through Booking.com Attractions, tour, activity, and attraction providers can showcase their offerings to this extensive audience.

While many suppliers already have their products listed in this marketplace through Booking.com's partnership with other travel experience OTAs like Musement, Viator or Klook, this connection enables you to partner with Booking.com directly, list your products in their Attractions marketplace and sell in a more automated way, eliminating the need to manually manage product content, availability, pricing and bookings. Capabilities of this connection allow you to:

  • Sync product content from Ventrata to Booking.com.

  • Sync availability, pricing for your Booking.com products with Ventrata.

  • Sync public and non-public promotions from Ventrata to Booking.com.

  • Receive bookings, updates, cancellations from Booking.com to Ventrata.

  • Issue vouchers/tickets from Ventrata to Booking.com customers instantly.

Creating Connection

Before you begin:

  • You must have a commercial agreement in place with Booking.com Attractions to use this integration. To inquire about partnership, please get in touch with [email protected] (Inesa Jasarevic, Senior Account Manager @ Booking.com Attractions) to start this process.

  • You must have Booking.com created as a Reseller in Ventrata with their pricing (retail, wholesale/commission) defined correctly. Note that this API connection requires that reseller is set to "Bill to my account" settlement method.

  • The Ventrata products you will sell on Booking.com must have minimum required content information completed.

  1. In Ventrata Dashboard, go to Connections β†’ Connections, click + New Connection, and select Booking.com Attractions from the list of partners.

  2. Select Booking.com Reseller from the list of your resellers (must be created by you before creating connection). The connection will inherit reseller's (or reseller band) configuration like pricing, whitelisted destinations, products, etc.

  3. (Optional) You can also set the connection Name of your choosing, which may be helpful if you plan to have multiple Booking.com Attractions connections and would like to differentiate between them more easily in the future. If needed, you can also whitelist/blacklist products or destinations on the connection level in addition to what you have configured on the reseller or reseller band, which can be helpful if you have multiple connections linked to one reseller.

Mapping Products

  1. Email the OCTO API key shown on the connection you've created to your Booking.com Attractions contact and ask for them to map your products using Ventrata's OCTO API. Typically it takes a few business days for the Booking.com Attractions team to complete this.

  2. (Optional) While Booking.com Attractions team can access the full list of products you've enabled for them on the connection, you can also specify which product you would like them to map by providing the Product and Option IDs displayed on the connection page when you contact them.

Minimum Required Content

Booking.com Attractions automatically syncs your product content from Ventrata via API and do not provide an interface for suppliers to manage product content manually. To ensure a successful connection, compliance with their content standards, and best possible display of your product, we recommend checking that the following information is completed in your Ventrata dashboard.
